Continuing Education Courses

Bala Institute of Oral Surgery is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this program provider are accepted by AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a state or provincial board of dentistry or AGD endorsement. The current term of approval is valid from 10/1/2019 to 9/30/2022. (Provider ID# 218007) 


On August 5, 2021, the Department of State sent out a notification that effective September 30, 2021 the continuing education restriction will expire. Therefore, all CE credits will need to be fulfilled for the current biennial renewal period as per the following requirements:

Dentists: 30 hours every two years (15 hours or 50% must be in person)
Dental Hygienists: 20 hours every two years (10 hours or 50% must be in person)
Dental Assistants: 10 hours every two years (5 hours or 50% must be in person)

CHILD ABUSE & PAIN MANAGEMENT COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Effective with the first license renewal after January 1, 2015, all health-related licensees applying for the renewal of a license issued by the Board shall be required to complete at least 2 hours of Board-approved continuing education in child abuse recognition and reporting requirements as a condition of renewal. We have been approved by the Department of Human Services to provide this CE course. Act 31
