* All health-related licensees applying for the renewal of a license issued by the PA State Board (including doctors, dentists, nurses, physician assistants and employees of health care facilities who are engaged in the admission, examination, care or treatment of individuals under the age of 18) shall be required by law to complete at least 2 hours of Board-approved continuing education in child abuse recognition and reporting requirements as a condition of renewal.

Bala Institute of Oral Surgery has been approved by the Department of Human Services and the Department of State to provide this mandatory child abuse course to all mandated and permissive reporters.
